Nick Kimmet

Graphic Designer since 2010, Pastor since 2007

Hello there, I’m Nick, a Spokane-based pastor with a passion for creative communication.  Contrast was started because Sophie and I believe that there’s such a thing as a ‘contrast community’. A group of people who fight to help, celebrate, educate, partner with and encourage the good in our city.

I love Spokane! It’s where I met my wife Ciara while we both volunteered with Young Life. We’ve been married for 14 years, we have two energetic young boys Kruz (7) and Banx (5) who love sports and summertime, truly boys after my own heart. I could tell you a lot more about my background, my family or my interests but I’d prefer to do so in person over a cup of coffee.

If you’re looking for someone to partner with your organization, who’s going to take your vision seriously and help you raise awareness of the good you’re doing, I think it’s time we connect.

I look forward to sharing my story and hearing yours.

I love what I do! Nick and I get to be design superheroes for our clients. So often they are in a time crunch, out of ideas, and frustrated by trying to do it all themselves. When we’re able to step in, design something wow-worthy and make a deadline for them, it’s a high-five party for us and huge sigh of relief for them.

We became partners in Contrast to serve our favorite clients – the projects dripping with passion, serving a greater purpose in our city, with people who truly care about people. I like to see it as being good stewards of our talent, and it’s oh-so-rewarding.

I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a BFA in Visual Communication Design. My design experience includes working at a magazine publisher, a church, and working as creative director for a few years at another small design firm.

My husband Adam and I live in northwest Spokane with our freakishly large black lab, Roman. When I’m not glued to my computer, I’m attempting to read 2 books a month, pulling weeds (ugh!), or entertaining friends and family. Life is good.

our values

We’re here to serve you as you serve the people of our community. There are 4 key values that influence our approach to client relationships:

We never want to be that email sitting in your inbox that you’re afraid to answer. We’ll keep everything easy: from scheduling, to approvals, to invoicing. You’ll never have to ask what’s next.

As we get to know you and your project, we’ll determine how hands-on you’d like to be and how far we can run off leash. We always prefer consistent client involvement, but only when it’s your priority too.

I mean, it’s what we do best. Whether it’s developing a brand, a new approach to marketing, or simply bringing fresh eyes to an existing project, we’re sure we can help.

We want to see a contrast made in your organization. That means sometimes shining a light on areas you may have been ignoring or overlooking. We’ll strive to make a difference you can see, feel and be energized by without ever pressuring you into something you don’t need.
